About
My name is Michael (Mr Moo)

Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for fostering personal growth and development, cultivated over 15 years of experience in various social care settings, including adult mental health and children's residential care. One feeling that never sat right with me was the disconnect between mind and body in regards to the treatment for physical and mental health. This has always drawn me towards more holistic practices such as yoga.

For several years, I maintained a casual interest in yoga, utilizing YouTube and attending sporadic classes to engage with the practice. A pivotal moment occurred one summer when I spent time with my niece, possessing a book titled ABC of Yoga. Together, we explored the poses and discovered our mutual enjoyment of the practice, which led me to consider the integration of yoga into my future work with children. At that time, I was pursuing a degree in psychology and child development with aspirations of becoming a child psychologist.
This realization prompted me to undertake a course in children’s yoga. I observed that children often opened up during sessions, facilitating conversations about emotions and life experiences.
As my interest in yoga philosophy deepened, I sought further knowledge by enrolling in an adult yoga course that incorporated tantric philosophy and methodologies. A similar path unfolded with my teenage course, but snowballed further into Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Trauma informed and SEN Yoga and Wellbeing courses. Although I initially aimed for a career in clinical psychology, enthusiasm for yoga increasingly influenced my professional trajectory.
This exploration has enabled me to merge my two passions, leading to the establishment of, Mr. Moo, You!
